IMS Activity Group

What We Do

The IMS AG focuses on interoperability of end-to-end functionality, terminal-network signaling and media, from the point of view of the terminals. The work of the IMTC IMS AG includes finalizations of application specifications, creation of test specification and implementation guides, organization of test events, etc.

This work have several different aspects to it:

  • Perform and document well planned and controlled rigorous interoperability tests.
  • Plan, execute, and track rigorous interoperability tests for the benefit of participating member companies.
  • Provide feedback to 3GPP, 3GPP2, GSMA and other SDO's so that the lessons learned through testing can be applied to improve the relevant standards.

Liaisons

The IMTC collaborates and has liaison relationships with several standards development organizations. Learn about the liaison activities this group is maintaining with external organizations.

How We Work Together

  • Private e-mail reflector to exchange information and receive answers to technical questions.
  • Weekly conference calls to review testing status and technical issues.
  • Face-to-face meetings and events throughout the year for testing purposes and to cover technical issues
  • To participate, your company must be an IMTC member in good standing and a developer of one of the following; streaming servers, content distribution servers, content creation tools, or multimedia terminals
