Metadata Activity Group

The Metadata Interoperability group performs and documents well planned and controlled rigorous interoperability tests on MPEG-21 areas and performs interoperability tests for MPEG-21 according to technical specifications from ISO 21000. The testing scope covers the creation, delivery and playback/consumption of metadata.

What We Do

• Plan, execute, and track rigorous interoperability tests for the benefit of participating member companies.
• Provide feedback to ISO/MPEG and other standard organizations so that the lessons learned through testing can be applied to improve the relevant standards.

Liaisons

The IMTC collaborates and has liaison relationships with several standards development organizations. We plan to leverage IMTC liaisons and extend them for the benefit of MPEG-21 interoperability.

How We Work Together

• Private e-mail reflector to exchange information and receive answers to technical questions.
• Regular conference calls to review testing status and technical issues.
• Regular testing events (both face to face and remote)
