IMTC Membership Levels

IMTC Full Voting Membership

These Member Companies participate in all the IMTC activities and functions, and have full voting rights on all issues. The cost of a membership is USD $9,500 per company a year for the PLUS membership, those companies who will participate in an Activity Group and use the IOTzilla test tool or USD $8,000 per company a year for those companies who will not participate in an Activity Group that uses the IOTzilla test tool. Voting Members receive rights and privileges specified in IMTC's By-Laws, meaning that any changes these rights and privileges must be balloted and approved by two-thirds of IMTC's Voting Members. Member companies may have multiple employees participate in IMTC activities. The specific rights and privileges are:

• Contribute IMTC Leadership and Direct Membership Involvement:
  • Eligibility to vote in all Board of Director elections and other matters that may come before the Membership;
  • Eligibility for nomination and service on the Board of Directors;
  • Eligibility for nomination and service as an Officer of the Corporation; and
  • Eligibility fully participate in Activity Groups, and to be appointed or elected to to theirs.



• Shape IMTC Specification Input Benefits:
  • Propose work items;
  • Input requirements documents, recommended specifications and other document evolution;
  • Input to test specification evolution;
  • Access to all draft and published documents of IMTC; and
  • Vote on specifications and document approval.



• Receive IMTC Marketing Benefits:
  • Listing on IMTC with company link; and
  • Participate in Marketing events.



• Such Other Privileges and Benefits as Established by the Board of Directors

IMTC Associate Membership

This membership is open to organizations that do not have any testing requirements and would not participate in F2F testing activities, such as SuperOp! or companies with less than $1M in revenue.
This level of membership does not receive access to the IMTC Historical Archives.
The cost is USD $4,000 per company a year.

Associate Members shall have the following rights and privileges:

• Eligibility to participate in Activity Groups and attend Activity Group meetings;
• Eligibility to participate in IMTC events, such as member meetings, interoperability events and SuperOp! at rates that will be lower than non-member rates.

Associate Members shall NOT have the following rights and privileges:

• Eligibility to vote in elections of the Board of Directors and other matters that may come before the Membership;
• Eligibility for nomination to and service on the Board of Directors;
• Eligibility for nomination to and service as an Officer of the Corporation;
• Eligibility to be appointed or elected to Activity Group Chair positions

Non Profit/University Membership

This level of membership would be open to Non Profit Corporations, Government Organizations and Educational Institution who would like to participate in other IMTC activities. Members would not be permitted to serve as Director on the IMTC Board of Directors and would not be able to vote in board elections or other voting matters. Members could participate in Activity Groups, but would not be able to hold Chair positions. There would be a charge of USD $1,000 per corporation/organization/institution a year for membership in this class. Also, Members would be charged at a special rate for meeting attendance as well as participation in interoperability events sponsored by the IMTC.

Non Profit/University Members shall have the following rights and privileges:

• Eligibility to participate in Activity Groups and attend Activity Group meetings;
• Eligibility to participate in IMTC events, such as member meetings, interoperability events and SuperOp! at Non Profit/University Membership rates will be lower than non-member rates.
• Access to all draft and published documents of IMTC, Inc.

Non Profit/University Members shall NOT have the following rights and privileges:

• Eligibility to vote in elections of the Board of Directors and other matters that may come before the Membership;
• Eligibility for nomination to and service on the Board of Directors;
• Eligibility for nomination to and service as an Officer of the Corporation;
• Eligibility to be appointed or elected to Activity Group Chair positions..

Individual Participant

The Individual Participant has no dues and is open to individuals only and not companies. Individuals must agree to participate in and contribute to at least one IMTC Activity Group, must pay for attendance to IMTC events as required and has no access to the IMTC Historical Archives. To join as an Individual Participant, persons provide a written request to participate annually to the IMTC and the request must be approved by the board of directors. This level of participation is not considered a member per the IMTC bylaws.

• Eligibility to participate in Activity Groups*
• Eligibility to chair an Activity Group*
• Eligibility to attend Activity Group meetings*
