To remain a member in good standing, all members are expected to pay their annual membership renewal dues on or before their membership anniversary date

 

Membership Levels

Full Voting Membership

Full Voting Member Companies participate in all the IMTC activities and functions, and have full voting rights on all issues. The cost of membership is USD $15,500 per company per year. Voting Members receive rights and privileges specified in IMTC’s By-laws. Any changes to these rights and privileges must be balloted and approved by two-thirds of IMTC’s Voting Members. Member companies may have multiple employees participate in IMTC activities.

The specific rights and privileges of Full Voting membership are:

  • Contribute IMTC Leadership and Direct Membership Involvement
    • Eligibility to vote in all Board of Director elections and other matters that may come before the Membership
    • Eligibility for nomination and service on the Board of Directors
    • Eligibility for nomination and service as an Officer of the Corporation
    • Eligibility to fully participate in Activity Groups, and to be appointed or elected to Activity Group Chair positions
  • Shape IMTC Specifications
    • Propose work items
    • Input requirements documents, recommended specifications and other document evolution
    • Input to test specification evolution
    • Access to all draft and published documents of IMTC
    • Vote on specifications and document approval
  • Receive Booth Space at SuperOp! Interoperability Testing Events
  • Gain Access to the IMTC Historical Archives
  • Receive IMTC Marketing Benefits
    • Listing on IMTC website with company link
    • Participate in Marketing events
  • Other Privileges and Benefits as Established by the Board of Directors

Start-Up Membership

This level of membership is open to qualified start-up organizations and is designed to provide a transitional period through which start-ups can participate in IMTC activities at a lower initial cost. In order to qualify as a start-up, organizations must have 20 or fewer employees and revenues of less than USD $5,000,000 per year. Members are not permitted to serve as a Director on the IMTC Board of Directors, and they are not permitted to vote in board elections or other matters. Members can participate in Activity Groups. Membership dues are USD $2,000 per year for up to the first 2 years of membership.

Start-up Members have the following rights and privileges:

  • Eligibility to participate in Activity Groups, be appointed or elected to Activity Group Chair positions and attend Activity Group meetings
  • Eligibility to participate in IMTC events, such as member meetings,
    interoperability events and SuperOp!
  • Access to all draft and published documents of IMTC
  • Access to the IMTC Historical Archives
  • Listing on IMTC website with company link
  • Participate in marketing events
  • Other Privileges and Benefits as Established by the Board of Directors

Start-Up Members do not have the following rights and privileges:

  • Eligibility to vote in elections of the Board of Directors and other
    matters that may come before the Membership
  • Eligibility for nomination to and service on the Board of Directors
  • Eligibility for nomination to and service as an Officer of the Corporation

Non-Profit/Education/Government Membership

This level of membership is open to Non-Profit Corporations, Educational Institutions, and Government Organizations and is designed to provide a low cost mechanism that allows them to participate in IMTC activities. Members are not permitted to serve as
Director on the IMTC Board of Directors nor vote in board elections or other voting matters. Members can participate in Activity Groups, but are not able to hold Chair positions. Membership dues are USD $1,000 per corporation/organization/institution per year.  Members are charged at a special rate for attending meetings and for participation in interoperability events sponsored by the IMTC.

Non Profit/Education/Government Members have the following rights and privileges:

  • Eligibility to participate in Activity Groups and attend Activity
    Group meetings
  • Eligibility to participate in IMTC events, such as member meetings,
    interoperability events and SuperOp! at Non Profit/University Membership
    rates that are lower than non-member rates
  • Access to all draft and published documents of IMTC
  • Other privileges and benefits as Established by the Board of Directors

 Non Profit/University Members do not have the following rights and privileges:

  • Eligibility to vote in elections of the Board of Directors and other
    matters that may come before the Membership
  • Eligibility for nomination to and service on the Board of Directors
  • Eligibility for nomination to and service as an Officer of the Corporation
  • Eligibility to be appointed or elected to Activity Group Chair positions
  • Access to IMTC Historical Archives

Individual Participant

The Individual Participant level of membership has no dues and is open only to individuals. Individual Participants must agree to participate in, and contribute to, at least one IMTC Activity Group or committee, pay for attendance to IMTC events as required, and have no access to the IMTC Historical Archives. An individual shall not represent the interests of a corporation. The Individual Participant level of participation is not considered a member as defined in the IMTC By-laws.

To join as an Individual Participant, persons must provide a written request to the IMTC, which must be approved by the Board of Directors. This request must be submitted for review and approval annually. To apply to become an Individual Participant complete this Form and email to the IMTC help desk at help@imtc.org

Individual Participants have the following rights and privileges:

  • Eligibility to participate in all Activity Groups
  • Eligibility to chair any Activity Group
  • Eligibility to attend all Activity Group meetings

Individual Participants do not have the following rights and privileges:

  • Eligibility to vote in elections of the Board of Directors and other
    matters that may come before the Membership
  • Eligibility for nomination to and service on the Board of Directors
  • Eligibility for nomination to and service as an Officer of the Corporation
  • Access to IMTC Historical Archives
