IMTC Completes SuperOp! 2010
The International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC) announced the completion of SuperOp! 2010, the premier testing event of the telecommunications industry for multimedia standards and products. Last week, more than 50 engineers, representing 14 companies, participated in this week long event culminating in a SuperConnect session on Thursday June17 demonstrating simultaneous interoperability connecting 30 different endpoints, from video phones to the room and telepresence systems, and MCUs with 13 servers joined together in a single conference (SIP and H.323 combined).

IMTC MEMBER COMPANIES TEST EMERGING 3GPP MULTIMEDIA STREAMING FEATURES AT LATEST INTEROPERABILITY TEST EVENT New 3GPP “Fast Content Switching” standard is tested for the first time
The International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC) announces that its Packet-Switched Streaming Activity Group (PSS-AG) has just completed a face-to-face interoperability test event. Ten companies participated in the event, which took place from January 19-23 at the San Diego headquarters of PacketVideo Corporation. The testing covered many aspects of multimedia streaming to handsets and other mobile devices, including several new and emerging standard technologies:

IMTC SuperOp! 2008 Thirteenth Annual Interoperability Testing Event for Multimedia Products and Services to be Held in Tel-Aviv, Israel, May 12-16
The International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC) announces that SuperOp! 2008, the premier testing event of the telecommunications industry for multimedia standards and products is now open for registration through April 18 at www.imtc.org. SuperOp! is a must event for all of multimedia telecommunications equipment manufacturers and service providers, providing unprecedented opportunities to perform rigorous interoperability testing for their products and services. IMTC Focuses on IMS Video Share Testing and 3G VideoTelephony Fast Call Setup Time at Upcoming Interoperability Event
The IMS and 3G-324M Activity Groups of the IMTC (The International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium) will be focusing this years Face-to-Face Interoperability Events on IMS Video Share testing and MONA (ITU-T H.324 Annex K) and WNRSP call session setup acceleration techniques. The upcoming face-to-face interoperability event will be hosted by RADVISION for the second year in a row and will take place at RADVISION headquarters in Tel Aviv, Israel in October.

IMS Forum Signs MOU With International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC) To Jointly Collaborate On Advancing Real Life IMS Interoperability
The IMS Forum, the industrys only Forum delivering IMS services interoperability verification and certification, announced today that they have signed an MOU with the International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC), an international alliance of companies working together to improve the customer experience and accelerate market adoption of content delivery and unified communications solutions through interoperability of products and services based on open standards. The IMS Forum focuses on interoperability at the IMS Applications and Services Layer across mobile, fixed and cable broadband networks. The IMTC IMS Activity Group focuses on issues surrounding IMS Client interoperability, development and providing feedback to standards organizations.

IMTC SUPEROP! PROVIDES INTEROPERABILITY TESTING FOR LEADERS IN MULTIMEDIA TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND VIDEO COMMUNICATIONS

GCF Partners With IMTC To Develop Test Specifications For 3G Handset Manufacturers Supporting Video Telephony
The Global Certification Forum (GCF) and the International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC) announced today that any new 3G mobile phones supporting R99 CS (circuit-switched) video telephony must now pass interoperability and conformance test developed by IMTC as part of the GCF certification process.

IMTC SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES 3G-324M INTEROPERABILITY TEST OF REAL-TIME VIDEO TELEPHONY PRODUCTS AND SERVICES IMTC tests with new ITU-T approved MONA, 3G-324M Annex K in event, Welcomes Intel and Sunplus as new IMTC members
The International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortiums (IMTC) 3G-324M Activity Group (AG) conducted a live, face-to-face interoperability testing event during its August 2006 session. In addition to standard testing suites, the group also included the ITU-approved MONA and 3G-324M Annex K as part of the testing activities. The test suites and ITU-T standards are key to enabling the industry to commercialize 3G-324M products and services. This latest event continues IMTCs long history of pursuing interoperable real-time telephony products and services.

IMTC Kicks Off Latest Round Of 3G Interoperability Testing For Music, Video and Mobile TV Applications
The International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium’s Packet-switched Streaming Services Activity Group (PSS-AG) staged a live face-to-face interoperability test event in June, kicking off its latest cycle of interoperability testing of 3GPP and 3GPP2 streaming standards. The PSS-AG is focused on testing the interoperability of cutting-edge features from the latest 3G multimedia streaming specifications, including streaming bit-rate adaptation, multi-track signaling, and progressive download of the latest codecs including H.264 Video and Enhanced aacPlus Audio.

The International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC) and the ITU-T held a joint ITU-T Workshop and IMTC Spring Forum that was hosted by Nokia in San Diego, May 9-11, 2006 to drive further market acceptance, interoperability and usage of video and multimedia services over mobile and broadband networks.

ISMA Drives Testing of Emerging Streaming Media Technologies
Three standards organizations joined forces to conduct robust testing of emerging standards in streaming rich media, such as music and video, over the Internet. Engineering staff from companies in North America, Europe and Asia converged in New York this month to test their products and technologies.

IMTC SuperOp! Attracts Leading Multimedia Telecommunications Vendors Committed to Interoperability
In its continuing effort to ensure the interoperability of multimedia standards and products, the International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC) successfully completed its annual SuperOp!, an industry-wide testing event designed to promote greater interoperability between multimedia communications systems. SuperOp! brought together developers and engineers from leading companies in multimedia communications for discussion and testing of new ideas and equipment. This years SuperOp! was sponsored by Aethra, Nortel, Polycom, RADVISION, Regione Marche, Sony Corporation, Telecom Italia, and Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) and took place from Sept. 12-16 at the Federico II Hotel in Jesi, Italy.

Aethra Telecommunicazioni is the host to over one hundred engineers from all over the world at the Federico II Hotel in Jesi, Italy from September 12-16, 2005. IMTC 3G-324M Activity Group to Provide Feedback to ITU-T through Liaison to Correct and Amend H.324 Annex C Specification
The 3G-324M Activity Group of the International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC), issued a statement today saying that the definition of the CCSRL mechanism in the H.324M standard may be subject to misinterpretation.

Convergence and Rich Media Fuel Expectations For Next Generation Networks
Convergence is the word, and attendees of The International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC) Spring Forum, held in Eibsee, Germany, May 10 12, listened as Andrew Davis of Wainhouse Research, and a host of keynote speakers, examined the state of the technology. IMTC Conducts First Interoperability Testing of Packet Switched Streaming to the Advanced Specifications of the 3GPP and 3GPP2
The International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium (IMTC) continues its lead in interoperability testing through its Packet Switched Streaming Activity Group (PSS-AG) that has scheduled the first interoperability tests of real time multimedia delivery according to new specifications of 3GPP Packet-Switched Streaming (PSS) Release 6 and 3GPP2 Multimedia Streaming Services (MSS). Engineers from 25 PSS-AG member companies are eager to test the advanced and exciting specifications of the next generation of multimedia streaming.
